Headquartered out of Amsterdam, we service tens of thousands of small businesses across the world by building their websites, launching their paid search campaigns and creating power content.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, enthusiastic and hard working HR Specialist to join our HR Team, stationed in our Amsterdam HQ.

As Spotzers’s HR Specialist, you’ll be accountable for global HR operations and you will use your all-round HR expertise to work with our multicultural employees and international offices (in Denver and Melbourne). As part of the HR team you will report to the Director of People and Culture.

 

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of payroll process and coordination for our offices in Australia, USA and The Netherlands
  • Provide professional and pro-active support and advice to employees and managers on a broad range of HR related topics
  • Employee management (creation, check and administration of all HR related documents, contracts, letters, etc)
  • On & Off boarding programs for employees
  • Expatriate assistance (VISA and work permits, 30% rulings and experience working and submitting applications via IND)
  • Case Management, sickness registrations, UWV applications
  • Ensure the business complies with all relevant employment legislation and that this is communicated to senior leadership as appropriate
  • Participation in several HR related projects, such as benefits benchmark, setting up policies, performance appraisal processes

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Native Dutch speaker required 
  • 2 – 3 years previous HR experience, ideally in an international work environment
  • BSc/MSc in relevant study OR equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch HR policies and legislation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent Dutch & English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Process driven, people person, highly structured and organised
  • Experience with payroll software systems such as Nmbrs and/or ADP (desirable)
  • Commitment to the role and ready to take full ownership
  • Well organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and eager
